F.S. GARSIDE PARK
Once the pride of soccer in the area, historic F.S. Garside Park has been looking a little worse for wear over the past few seasons, but a massive re-development is underway that will have this great venue once more a showcase.
In a bitter-sweet moment, the old dressing rooms were demolished in early January to make way for additional spectator seating. The new amenities block is in place, with the player-race now concreted and waiting for the fencing to be erected. The playing surface has been extended, giving us a wide, expansive pitch that should make for more exciting play.
Further work is taking place on the players 'dugout-area', scoreboard, and ticket box, and the extra seating will be a major leap forward as we look to provide a superior amenity for people to watch our great game.
