Canberra Trip

Our 2010 road trip to Canberra was a great weekend for team and parent bonding alike, and most of all great games of football to watch.

Our weekend began on Saturday afternoon with the 16s, 18s, 20s and First Grade on Saturday evening. Good results a long way from home, with the 16s having a huge 8-1 victory, the 18s staging a comeback from a 3 nil down to finish with a 3-all draw, the 20s also playing out a draw, and First Grade going down 0-1 in an entertaining game.

On Sunday morning we had our 13s, 14s and 15s play against a Canberra Academy side in their respective age groups.

The 13s recorded a 4-1 loss, but the boys can hold their heads high, showing great maturity and some real promise. The 14s had 2 early goals scored against them, but they battled gamely from there and the score remained 2 nil. The 15s were all class, scoring 4 goals in the first 20 minutes, and unfortunately a penalty blotted their ledger to make the score 4-1, with the afternoon temperature rising into the mid 30s.

Overall, what a great weekend.
